Wanting to put together a family friedly cookbook for WLS
Hey everyone, I have a 10, 7 and 1 year old. My biggest problem has been finding family friendly recipes and snack ideas. I am in the process of putting together a cookbook for other WLS patients and was looking for some new ideas. Let me know if you have a recipe or snack idea. Thanks!!!! Monica [email protected]
Great idea Monica!
Oddly, today I was speaking with a g/f at work who had RNY about 1 1/2 years ago. She has lost 160 lbs and is constantly losing.
She brought a Caramel Apple Salad to the family reunion this past weekend.
It was a huge hit she said.
It consists of:
1 drained can of crushed pineapple (didn't hear her say sugar free, so I assume it wasn't)
2 boxes of sugar free butterscotch pudding (prepared with skim or 1% milk)
1 tub of sugar free Cool Whip
diced apples
**Not sure how many it serves or any nutritional info....
Thanks again for such a great idea!
