Anyone in WNY with Univera Insurance?
I have Univera insurance and was approved for Gastric bypass within 24 hours of them receiving my information. That was 2 years ago yesterday and I have put in for abdominalplasty and was denied 2 times by them stating not medically necessary. I wrote a great appeal letter and sent pictures and everything and it is in for a review with a third party. I got a phone call today asking if I had ever seen a dematologist for my skin rashes and I explained no but did see my family doc on August 29th and had a huge rash under my abdominal fold that was from hip to hip and the doctor had to order a steroid perscription for the area. He said he would call my doctor and then they would make a decision,I was wondering if anyone in this area has dealt with them and what your outcome was? Thanks, Hugs, Chris
