Hi everyone,
It has been a while since I posted anything on the boards. It has been a crazy few weeks and so much has happned. I saw my surgon Dr. Clark for a consult, I love him he is fantastic. I had blood work done and I received my surgery date December 13, 2007. Not that far away and I am sooooooooooooo excited. I start medifast on the 26th of October and I hope that goes well I need to muster all the will power I can get. I work in the midist of every food joint you can imagine and temptation is the little devil sitting on my shoulder
. I have the motivation to do it I have considered this for more than a year and I know it is the best decision I made I wont do anything to mess it up. I still have to meet with the shrink and obtain approvel from MVP but I will continue to think positve that it will all work out. I love the boards and all the information I will post again soon.

) & I am at the end of my Medifast journey!! I had to do it for 12 weeks & really it wasn't that bad. No, honestly, it wasn't!! Oh, don't get me wrong, there were times that the drive-thru devils were chanting my name in unison & I didn't always resist but I always felt bad after I gave in to temptation!!! That crap sat in my stomach & made me feel sick!! I just knew that if I screwed this up I could be messing up my last chance at getting my life back!!! And I so want my life back!! I have 3 little nieces & I want to be around for them for a very long time!!! I have lost 44lbs & I want to get closer to 50lbs before I walk into Ellis Hospital on the morning of the 22nd!!!!
You can do this!! Stay focused on the big picture!!!! All the hard work will pay off - BIG TIME!!! Be creative with flavorings, spices, herbs, etc for your meals!! That was the only way I survived!!! I love buffalo wings so I searched the internet for something that would be a good substitute & found one!! It calmed the craving & ya know what, I don't think I'll ever miss the greasy fried wings of the past!!!!
Oh yeah - with the medifast - find a schedule that works best for you!! Spread them out over the course of the day so that by the time you get home you are not starving & make sure you have something in your house for dinner!!! Whenever I knew I had no options I was tempted to go to places I shouldn't!!! Also, I found that if I added extracts to my medifast it enhanced the flavor!! I only drank the choclate ones - the smell of vanilla made me gag (sad!!) so even though I loved chocolate it got old! So I bought almond, raspberry & cherry extracts & OMG, a little will make you feel like you are drinking something very decadent!!! The raspberry was by far my favorite!!! Also, find the right amount of water to mix your drink with. For me it was 10oz & I liked the consistency and add the powder to the water then shake it up... less clumps!!!
ok - that's all the tips I can think if right now but seriously, give me a shout if you need me!!! I'm here off & on during the day even if it's just for a second or 2!!!
Good Luck!!!!
