2 Yr Anniversary
Today is my 2 yr anniversary for my rny. I've managed to sustain a substantial weight loss and am at 122 lbs at 5 feet. In October I was diagnosed with an ulcer at the anastomosis (sp?) and dr. put me on antibiotics for h.pylori for 14 days. When I went to see my primary care doc, he looked up the test reports and no h.pylori. Nothing from a small bowel follow up either. He believes that since I had neglected to take my Nexium for the past 8 months, the stomach acid caused the ulcer so I am on the stuff for the long term and probably for life. Either way, the pain is gone and I'm eating a bit more and holding it down. I just want to say that since the rny, I've been otherwise very healthy but I urge everyone to take their health seriously and do whatever it takes to eat healthy and exercise. I admit...I don't exercise everyday but I try to get in at least 3-4 days a week with cardio and strengthening. At some point in the future, plastics are still a possibility. Take care and best of health to all.

Hi Linda!
Long time no hear! I'm sorry to hear of your ulcer issues, but it sounds like you are on the mend and no worse for the wear. It's wonderful that you're 2 years out and still going strong. Congratulations to you!
Big hugs,
Amy

Hi Amy. Yeah, I've been lax in staying in touch. I'm interested in the support groups at AMC but I dont' want to run into a couple of women who I used to work with as they don't know I had the surgery. Email me and we can keep in touch. [email protected]
BTW...you look great! I would like to hear about the plastic surgery ...seriously!!! Linda
