Did all testing ...ready to schedule ..then found Cancer maybe ?

I am ready to get a date for RNY and now the Hematologist says I may have Multiple Myleloma! I feel like this is a real nightmare!  I want to have the RNY.I feel fine.Has anyone gotten  SUPRISE LIKE THIS ?? aND iF SO WHAT DID YA DO!

I haven't had to deal with this personaly but wanted to wish you well and I will say a prayer for you!

I have problems with a low white blood count. The first time I went to see my Hemotalogist he also threw around words like Multuple Myleloma and Lymphoma. Turns out I have a condition that causes the low white blood count along with some other issues.  I'll PM you. Try not to worry

Thanks for responding.I have to have another Bone Marrow Biopsy this wednesday then I should have diagnosis soon.I have not mentioned this to the surgeon at all but I am sure my primary MD will mention it in his letter of recomendation fo RNY. Who did you use for Nutritionist? Some one nearby I hope ?

Prayers for you ... that your tests will be fine. Sometimes they just need to rule things out, and throw those scary words around before checking it out completely. Let us know how it goes for you.
