Mu husband is thankfully able to take this month off from work and was flexible to help me get my appointments in so it worked out.

I just had my gallbladder out and hernia repaired and am alreayd home....although loopy on pain meds.  It could have been worse...i'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Btw I have so much weight to lose that the band probably wouldn't have been practical for me...at least what my dr said.

HI!!! I am Rae and my rny will be on Feb 18th at Ellis!  I go for pats on the 6th. I don't know much about the hospital except for the day I spent getting my u/s, chest xray etc.... Seemed like a busy place though...lol. Getting impatient and excited. I just wish Dr Ingram didn't have me on the Medifast diet for 4 weeksbut I am half way through it and I like the chocolate ones!

If you need meds to sleep I am sure they will give you some while in the hospital.....When and where are the support group meetings? There is a support group in Saratoga that I know about....

Hi Rae :)  So we will probably be in the hospital at the same time for one day.  I think they said 2-3 days if I don't have complications.  I just had a surgery there at Ellis yesterday and I have to say that everyone was extremely nice there...very caring.

I'm on 4 weeks of medifast too...it sucks.. althouhg it does get easier.  My dr let me eat for the next few days because of my surgery, but I know I'll have a harder time getting back on the medifast this weekend.

I'm not sure about suuport groups but I'll ask on the 10th when I go in for my post-op (for the surgery I just had) and medifast.  I know they have some right at Ellis.

I'll let you know.

My husband is the best...honestly.

Couldn't do it without him.  Especially having three 4 yr olds and a 3 yr old lol

I go for my pre op appt with Dr Ingram on Feb 6th and my PATS is right after that at Ellis. I am getting so excited! My husband has had some pity on me where the diet is concerned. He has put himself on a fairly restrictive diet so he is kinda going through it with me, even though he doesn't need to. Hope you are feeling well from your gallbladder surgery!

I'm doing ok thanks...just feeling sore and bloated and discusting lol.  Must be all that gas they pumped into me.

Yeah my husband feels bad about my diet too so he cut way down and lost 35 pounds!  I'm kind of pissed...here I am drinking nothing but shakes, 450 calories a day, and I barely lose 20 and he still eats and loses 35 lol.

Story of my life :)

Hon you are singing my song. I'll never forget about 8 years ago we decided to do a weekend cleaning type thing together. We did the exact same thing and I was a lil stricter with it. He lost 10 lbs I lost 1.....I felt like strangling him...lol

Yeah I told him not to tell me how much he has lost anymore lol.  I don't want to know...will just irritate me.  I've gained 7 pounds back since my gallbladder surgery a day ago..and I haven't eaten anything..just drinking lots.  I have to go into a medifast appointment on the 10th...I hope I've lost it back by then so they don't get yell at me lol.
