Has anyone been approved for Lap Band from Empire BCBS PPO? They have denied me. Thanks

I was approved the same day my paperwork went in and that was over 2 years ago! And yes, I have Empire PPO I wonder if the MD's office forgot to include something when they submitted your paper work. I would call Empire and ask to speak to your care manager. Good Luck!! Jane aka The LI Princess

I also have empire blue cross blue sheild PPO and i hear they are very strict What procedures did u have to do to get approved i went to cornell weight loss surgery at new york presbytarian they want me to do an endoscopy ,psychological evaluation,nutritional evaluation,lab test and letter of nessecity from my primary care doctor.Did u have to pay to see your nutritionist and your psychologist? my fee is 250$ each.Did they also require u to have 6 months of weight lost as in dieting ? They are requiring me to do so.
