CAN ANYONE RECOMEND........

a good plastic surgeon? I am almost 6 months post op and have lost 102 pounds and want to start looking into plastic surgery. I live in brooklyn ny so any plastic surgeons in ny is great

Elizabeth: Hello! I live in upstate NY (Albany area), First I thinkit is great to be doing research on plastics. Going to a VERY EXPERIENCED and board certified plastic surgeon who is VERY experinced w/ post bariatric body contouring is a must! I do want to add that it is recommended to wait AT LEAST a year to be as close to ideal bodywt, and have a stable wt pre plastics...For many this is actually 18-24 months. Some people lose it all in 6mo some in 12, some in 18. Many PS say wait 6 mo AFTER your lowest wt to stabilize (many regain 10% +/- of their wt back)...I wish you the best. Dr. B. Donald Sklansky 516-504-1800. He is located in Great Neck. He did my abdominoplasty with muscle tightening. He worked with the surgeon who did my hernia repair, so I had both done at the same time. I'm very satisfied with the result. I hope you find this helpful and good luck to you. Joanne
