Has anyone ever tried to take any pre-emptive moves to minimize skin sagging after wls and subsequent weight loss? I am wondering if these firming and tightening creams might be worth a try or if there is some sort of elasticity promoting lotion or cream out there that I should consider starting on? TIA
IMHO save your money....If it sounds too good to be true usually is. THE best thing you can do is exercise, eat you protien and get in all your water & vits, start now!....The length of time you have been obese, age, genetics, childbirth hx, number of times gaining/losing wt, how rapid you lose w/ WLS etc all factor into the condition your skin is in, how much damage has been done to the collagen & elasticity...Keeping the skin soft with a moisturizer may help some, but save the $$$ for plastics...Excess skin is a common s/e of MO and WLS, unfortunatley...

this link talks about stretch marks and basically NOTHING canundu the damage once there!
