I'm only 10 dyas out and i have almost no energy. When does it come back. i know about 50-60% of it is healing my body but in the morning i'm at about 40% but by 4pm i'm at about 20% at night i'm done. I'v been tryin to get all my water abd een eatting 3 times a day like my Dr. says. I just feel like crap most of the day and i need to know how long its going to be. I know i'v done the right thing but everyday i start regretting getting surgery for some reason. I JUST NEED ENERGY.

Hey Dwight. I know that in the begining i really had no energy , wanted to nap alot and you know what, thats ok. Your body needs time to recover and get used to the drastic cut in calories. Make sure you keep your surgeon updated on how you are feeling. Never hesitate to call him no matter what, even with a question like this, that is their job to answer them. Everyone responds to major surgery different. I know it took a little time for me to get my energy back but let me tell you, once i did, like now i cant stop. I am going and going and going. Even have trouble sleeping long. Get up early and i am on the go with my little ones. Just make sure that you get your protein in first and your water. Make sure you are taking your vitamins and i will repeat what i said before, if you still dont think what you are feeling is right, call your doc. Happy to have you on the loosing side! Hang in there. Dont regret the surgery, give it a chance. We are all her for you as well. LisaMarie

Hey Dwight, I hear that. I am so tired that I can hardly bang out the keys to respond. I am 2 weeks post op and I am tired even after sleeping all night. I get to see my doctor May 25th for the first fill. I think that the reason I am so tired is that I am number one, healing....I had lap band. And secondly, I am only eating about 700-800 calories per day. I am drinking water and walking one mile a day. But my buttski is dragging. I am so mentally foggy. Sometimes I forget what I am doing or saying and have to retrace my steps. When my staff tells me something, I forget easily as well. I am glad to hear that others in the beginning feel this tiredness as well. I am taking my vitamins and mineral and calcuim. I guess in time this too shall pass. But I am so talking to the doctor about this. Please let me know how you are doing.....hugs Susan

Hey Dwight, I was wondering how you were. My energy is still low but I think it's because of my depression. My hubby gets impatient and wonders when I will be energetic. I tell him oh after another 16 pound loss maybe-lol. Hope your energy will come back soon! Kristine

Dwight- I felt crappy and had no energy for about 3 months. i had complications and was out of work for 12 weeks. I noticed that when i went back to work i started to feel better, I think that my job keeps me so busy that i didn't have time to think abou how crappy i felt. I'm three years out and I don't feel my energy level is what it use to be. I find i get tired very easily, but I can definitely live with this side effect. Donna open rny mar 18 2003 282/145/140

know what that might be is your Iron and/or your blood count is low. My Gf is alomost 5 years out and she was really tired and dragging all the time. They did some blood work and found out she was missing alot of blood and her iron count was really low. They did a bounch of test to see if she was bleeding from somewere but they couldn't find anything, so they jusy told her to take Iron pills and come back in 3 months. Well 3 months later her iron had gone up and her Blood was good. so check your iron that might be the problem for you.
