Home From Surgery
Hey There Sweetie !
WELCOME HOME ! I am sending you some really positive thought's to get well soon !
I am so glad to hear all went well for you , except for the fever . Did they ever tell you what was causing it ? It is such a good feeling when you get home , isn't it ?
I am so happy for you girl !
I kept the spot good and warm on the loser's bench and it is so great to have you setting next to me !
Make sure you get your
and walk and sip and you will be feeling great in no time !
Let's shrink together ,
and
Carolee

And shrink we will Carolee! I actually gained 7 pounds (of IV fluid weight, I'm told...cause it sure as heck couldn't be anything else!) in the hospital and have taken that all off plus a few more in ony a few days! Wow. This is satisfaction on the scales like I've never known it! I'm fully aware that there will be plateaus, but for now, I am thrilled!
To answer your question, they determined that the fever was just my body's response to the trauma of surgery. My body said, "hey, what the heck" for a day or so longer than most....No fever since then.
It IS good to be home. I have made such major improvements over the past few days. Off the narcotics as of yesterday (I don't like how that stuff makes me feel), just using tylenol for pain. Sippin' away, walkin', snoozin'. Not too shabby. I'm on a clear liquid diet for the next week, then I switch to full liquid ( protein shakes, pudding, yogurt, etc), then slowly toward regular diet after that.
No vomiting yet, but pains here and there that I have to keep reminding myself are perfectly reasonable, considering the cir****tances!
Email me when you can and tell me how you're doing? What new challenges are you facing? What new joys?
Hugs,
Amy
