go for PS
Hi Everyone,
I'm going for my TT & Breast Lift on Monday the 8th. The day before my birthday. Nice Bday present huh? I'm going to the same surgeon that Stacy H from this board went to. I'm excited and nervous. I would just like to ask all of my OH brothers and sisters to keep me in prayer Monday. I'm a little afraid of the pain. I've been told that the RNY was a piece a cake compared to the TT. So pray that I have a little pain as possible and that there are no complications. Thank you all so much.
Praying for you all to have a blessed day!

Hi Angel,
My husband and I both met you last year at a support group meeting at Good Sam.
That was before we had surgery. You were so encouraging to us and we are very greatful. Steve had RNY on 1/9 & I had lapband on 1/23. Our surgeon was Dr. Cussatti.
We both are so happy and much healthier. He has lost 80 and I have lost 48 pounds so far.
You must be so excited about the surgery coming up! You're going to have a new beautiful body for your Birthday!
We will pray that everything goes smoothly for you and that your pain will be minor and leave you quickly.
Good luck to you and God Bless!

Hi Marcia,
Yes I remember meeting you and your husband last year. I'm so glad it all worked out for you both. Sounds like you are both doing very good.
I had the TT and Breast lift. The prayers must have made it to God's ears
because as it turns out they weren't able to do the muscle repair due to an old scar I have which meant that it was more superficial and less pain than most people endure. I'm very pleased with the outcome. They removed 4.5 lbs of extra skin from my abdomen and my breasts are still a little sore but they look good.
I was home the next day and back at work today.
Keep us posted on your continued success and stop by Good Sam for some meetings. I go every other saturday. This Saturday at 9am is the next meeting.
God Bless~

Wishing you well on your pending plastics, it is an awesome next step for many of us wlsers...the piece where we look to find balance and harmony w/ our body.
I feel pain is individual, I also think the 'myth' that gets perpetuated that plastics make RNY seem like a 'piece of cake' is just a myth. I am aware of many who felt just the opposite, and I am one of those. For me RNY wasn't painful, it was tolerable and I had soreness/stiffness, same w/ plastics, the stupid drains were a nuisance but I was NUMB! (still am in spots 2 yr later which is common) so I didn't need pain pills when I went home, I had LBL/breast aug together and later on thigh lipo to inner thighs...This is WANTED so I think that lessens discomfort for many! (Vs going in for a gallbladder or hernia repair ya know! wwho wants that?!)
Some things that factor into pain of course are our personal tolerance, history w/ pain, how extensive the PS is (for instance I had a Lower Body Lift removing only 4# skin, my friend had 20# removed, who had more trauma to their body?), I also beleive your frame of mind, perspective on the surgery has a lot to do w/ it. (My how you think affects how you feel philosophy)....
Just like w/ WLS, being as educated and informed as possible willl help you know possible outcomes, risks as well as 'probable' recovery...Having an experienced plastic surgeon who is board certified and experienced w/ post wls pts is also a must!
Here is a neat site for some info!

Remember the results can take up to 6-12 months to show, many come home more swollen and wearing BIGGER clothes for a while! So go w/ loose fitting and comfortable clothes for the journey home!
BE WELL!

Hi Jamie,
Thanks for the advice. It went very well. I'm very pleased with the results. I've already lost weight. I'm finally down to a normal BMI. So that's thrilling for me. He wasn't able to do the muscle repair due to an old scar which is fine with me because the pain was minimal. He also said that my muscles weren't that bad anyway. I've been doing a lot of crunches the last year or so. Maybe that helped.
