post op appt. 10 days out

Hi all, I made it, I finally got my drains out I really hated them. Im much more comfortable know. I was also weighed I lost 12lbs I feel less bloated already. I have to reread my stage 2 diet b/c Im not eating the right foods acording to my Dr. Today Im having tummy trouble running to the BR quite a few times since last night It must be somthing I eat but what I dont eat that many different thing My be just nerves. Hi Mich.i'm 8 weeks o/p I sure remember 2 weeks. Try can soups put through the blender .My doctor told me all foods have to be sugar free and have no more than 5%fat and no more than5% carbs Also try carb control sugar free yougart cups&drinkable.Good kuck!!!

I know how you feel I still feel that way sometimes Just remember to take it slow! Listen to your body when you feel full stop!you will be fine!! post soon let me know how your doing.

Hi Michele, I just read your profile and I'm truly sorry that you had so much trouble with the hospital night staff. I am happy that you are post op and without drains...they were the pits especially emptying them and trying to keep the rubber one dry Definitely read labels and try not to take in anything with more than the 5% fat and carbs. Chicken broth, and pureed soups (not cream style) are good, and don't forget the protein (skim milk, Advant Edge protein drinks (Walmart, drug store, etc.) sf jello, sf popsicles, jarred baby food but no fruity ones and beware of the veggie ones too (high in sugars). Pureed turkey and chicken with a bit of salt, some small curd cottage cheese and a tbs of sf applesauce on a plate looks like a lot and is all good. Take care, try new ways to prepare foods so that you can eat them. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and awesome weight loss! LindaM

Hi Mich! Congratulations on your weight loss!!! You are now on your way!!! No one ever says anything nice about the drains.After surgery it must be hard to tell why your having tummy trouble.I havn't had my surgery yet,but I'm getting closer.Well keep us posted on your journey!Darlene
