New WLS Support Group in Fishkill!

Count me in! You haven't heard much from me, but I'm over in Cornwall, and it would be LOVERLY to have a group within 40 minutes of me. My surgery is scheduled for 7-12-06 and I'm really eager to hear from the people who have gone through it, especially the ones who are just going through it. I will definitely send out reminders just prior to the first meeting and each week! Can't wait to meet you. I'm so excited for you too. My surgery was 6 months ago and I have lost 101 lbs so far and am feeling fantastic. My life has changed in so many wonderful ways. I really feel like I am living the life I was meant to have and never thought I could. I go to the park with my boys every weekend now that the weather is nice out and I run and jump and climb like a little kid. Eight years ago, when my littlest was born, I was over 430 lbs (I lost over 85 lbs years prior to surgery but couldn't lose more). Back then I couldn't even walk up stairs and now I don't even think twice when I have to walk somewhere. This surgery has been a gift and a lifesaver and you will doing wonderful! HUGS, Vi
