Two weeks out of surgery - what does full mean?

I just finished phase 2 of post surgery dining ( thank you Lord). I started eating semi-solid food; today I had tuna, eggs and cottage cheese. I have discovered a problem in that I cannot tell when I am full. I start to have a sense of pressure in the middle of my chest at the abdomen level. This may be the sensation of full but it happens after I eat hardly anything. Does this sound like the experience of any of you forum folks? Is this my modified stomach telling me Iv'e had enough

Yes, that is probably what full will feel like for you. Your pouch is very small and the stoma is still swollen. I could only eat a few spoons of purees at 2 wks. If in doubt play it safe! One spoon too much and you'll know. And you don't want to risk damaging your pouch at this time. Good luck!

I can't really tell when I'm full either! I either start to feel like I have the hiccups, or I burp. That's the only way I can tell. Good luck. Shelley
