After a year and a half!!!!!!

I have been OK'd for surgery!!!!!! I almost died when she told me today!!!!  I have been waiting so long for this day I thought I was dreaming LOL.......So my Surgery will be in May some time.....I can hardly wait....No more knee pain or back pain  wahoo hoo!!!!!!!

Good job girl!! I knew you could do it!! You have to stay on them like that! I don't think I could ever do it! I was ready to throw the towel in this week!!!!

Thank you all for your encouraging words.. and support... it seemed as if there was never going to be an end... but I swore that I was never going to let them say NO forever... Now I can be healthy that's all I want to be... and be able to play with my grandchildren when they come along!

CONGRATS!  I can't imagine waiting a year and a half.  Mine was just submitted (Started this in July) and I am antsy just waiting to hear from the insurance co.  You have been so patient.

Why did it take so long?   I orginally  started my journey in Jan. of 07 thinking that we had good insurance.. and it should be a piece of cake... Dr Chand  met with me.. ordered tests that were needed in order to have the surgery.  I went through the nutritional and Psychology part of it.. every one cleared me for surgery........... it was submitted to my insurance Cigna....the only thing they for got was that Cigna wanted 6 months of weigh in's month after month... and I didn't have that the Clinic let me go to soon.   And nothing we did or said would change their mind. So that is why it took a year and a half.... but it was well work it... now I am well prepared.. and can't wait...
