Dr. Curry Where are you?
I finally made it to Deaconess for a Seminar to get information and make an appointment since I keep reading such wonderful things about you and when I get there - I find some other guy doing the seminar who does not seem very professional and did not seem willing to answer any questions.
On my way out I heard that you had left. Where are you practicing now? Why did you leave? I also heard that all of your staff left with you.
Hi Dr. C.
I have a friend who went to that seminar. She asked about Dr. C. since he wasn't there and was not given any information. She also said that the doc who presented was not professional and was very elusive with all questions. Also, he was not keen about the lap band which is what she wanted. She even called Deaconess yesterday to try to make an appt with Dr. C. but was not able too. I told her not to give up on Dr. C.

Count me in along with your frustrations. It took me several days of calling Deaconess (on hold for 13 straight minutes once!) and leaving messages (all unreturned) to finally get a consult appointment scheduled with Dr. C, which was for today. After taking off work and waiting an hour and a half past my appointment time in an uncomfortably hot office, I finally had to leave. Bummer.
Dr. C ...on the more positive side. When I sent in my appeal to Cigna and they sent the response back to Deaconess.....Elaine called me to tell me. She said you were still practicing at Deaconess until your contract obligations were fulfilled.
I have however experienced the phone problems. When I have called no one answers the phone and twice the voice mail has been full.
I think replacing the office staff will take time.

I did have a positive experience getting an appointment with Dr. C. I called in the morning on Thursday and my call was returned in 3 hours and I have an appointment next Tuesday morning. The person I spoke to I believe her name was Angela was concerned about how I was feeling and encouraged me to call back if I felt any worse. He is a wonderful Dr. and I think is doing his best in what seems like a difficult situation. He is still at Deaconess for now because that is where I am seeing him on Tuesday. Hang in there things will only get better
