Topic: We've gotten a few "hits" on this site.
I'm glad to know that some of the artist have gotten in touch with me personally but we need to promote this board by talking to each other here. This is our board and it's what we make it. Come on we have 152 members and only two posts ?
For me personally my art has taken me through some pretty tough times but it was during these times that I've created my best work. How about you other artist out there , does tension help you to be more creative ?

Topic: RE: Come on Artist, where are you all ?
I have always loved to paint and do the creative thing, but its been a while. I got approval for surgery last week and got laid off on the same day.
It's a good thing, tho. I have started to paint again and am loving it!!!!

I have been looking at this site for months hoping that someone new would write in with some other creative things. I know there are alot of other artists out there ,please add your ideas and let's make this board work .
What are some of the things you like to paint ,do you find your creativity
more productive as a post-op ? Do you still find yourself working in a different style now than before ? Do you have more energy to paint now as a post-op ?
I paint the female form now and since losing weight I can see it as being more beautiful because I too have that body. My paintings have taken on a new look and I have more creativity now than I ever did. New ideas just pop up in my mind now and everything is a free for all when I think of my next painting. As a matter of fact right now I'm working on 4 paintings at once and I never would've been able to do this before for lack of energy and physical tiredness as an obese woman.
We need to get this board up and running so we can share idea's as well as talking about what being a pre-op or post-op does for our creativity.
Topic: RE: the happy painter!
actually i havent had a chance to take any classes, but i intend to start looking here locally,
i would love to take a few painting classes,
right now, i admit i am stricken with donna dewberry and her one stroke painting ! , such fun , i just did a wonderfull rose mural on my old coffeee table, and it looks great ! , neal even went out and bought glass for the top of the table to protect it , i know that may not rank high in romance for anyone else, but for me it sure does!

Hi Beth,
A few years ago I took a Bob Ross class here locally. Just wanted to get the painting bug out and be done with it!
Yeah, right!! Now, I've taken several classes and do my own paintings!
Have you ever taken any of the classes?
