Almost 6 months out (wow that went fast) I still can't eat bread without feelinig nauseous, even just plain bread with nothing on it.  Even most crackers make me feel the same way.  I'd love some opinions.

Very common.  It forms into a solid ball of dough and just sits there.  I still rarely have bread - only very well-toasted bread, and very little of it.

Yeah isn't it GREAT!!!!!! I know .. strange reaction but.... dark toast once in a while is about it for me. I don't dump so bread being hard to eat is a blessing. Sadly i'm fine with crackers though other than rice ones they sat heavy for about the first 9 months.
Sometimes the best support  you can get isn't all purple puddles and pink rainbows.

I guess I should just stop trying it.  Even toast doesn't sit well, but I miss it the most.  And glad to hear it's not just me.

I have toast about once a month. Just for a treat. and then it's Weigh****chers and only one piece,

But i have had garlic bread with no ill effects. It has to be toasted. crackers sit fine with me.

You bread tolerance might change later on, funny how some can handle it and others can't.

My surgery took place about 6 months ago and I have tried bread twice since then with a horrible reaction, sick, bloated, nauseated and wanted to die for about 3-4 hours each time until I brought it back up then I felt better.  Now I stay away from regular bread and enjoy pita bread, melba toast and rice cakes with no problems at all but some times I feel sad because I can no longer eat 8 slices of bread, french toast style, slathered with tons of butter and dripping in sweet, sweet syrup.  I also can no longer eat, by myself, a full medium, loaded, stuffed, thick crust pizza, sadly all I can eat now is two slices of thin crust pizza and I'm full.  Hmmm, maybe now I can see what my problem was before surgery. Hey Sue, me too! I still can't eat bread because it feels yucky. I have had WW bread and it is a little better but only if its toasted. Crackers are somewhat the same....you're not alone!

my problem is bread, rice and chocolate at this point my weight gain mostly did count for the rice bread so if that was your issues before  maybe the surgery made changes in you or the urge to eat carbs has stopped ..ask the nut and see i would not mind that  happen to me when i get my surgery .i crave simple carbs to much.
but i think 6mnths is way to long.
