Has anyone ever died...
I SO hear you!! I was going nuts. Nothing came soon enough. It seems to get a little better once you have the dates scheduled. One day it was like a switch was flipped for me and I just let the stress of not knowing go. Don't know how I did it but I tell ya, what a relief!! I won't tell you that the waiting is for a reason, or to allow you to get more info, etc. Vent!!! It helps

I'm in Ottawa too. My last appt with Dr. Wicklum served as my appt with the APN. I have gone for bloodwork and have to go to the Heart Institute for an ECG (no appt, just drop in M-F between 7:30 and 2 p.m.) Dr. Wicklum sent me to the front desk to book my next series of appts. - Behaviorist, Nutritionist and next appt with her....all the same morning. It seems that she is in control of things for me.
I had orientation Feb 11, then saw Dent instead of APN in March (got in on a cancellation) Nutritionist/behaviourist at end of march and then it too****il a few days ago to get a call to get my nutrition class booked. That was a very long time between March and June...thought I was going to lose my mind. At one point, I was told there was a delay in booking classes because they were having a hard time finding facilitators for the class...hopefully that hurdle has been overcome and they can do a bit of catching up.
Bottom line - yes, life with the Wait Management clinic can be a bit excruciating. Hang in there!!!!

aww..I feel for people in your position, although I waited an entire year from the time I was approved by OHIP to my actualy surgery date...I kept busy by reading eveyrthing I could........and joining a couple of bariatric boards...and also slowly started cutting the bad choices out of my lief.
your time will come and down the line you will be re-iterating this time of repsonse to someone else.

The waiting is excrutiating!! I too started this journey with my referral and meeting with Dr. Dent December 2, 2009!! 19 months ago.... *sigh*, jumped through all the hoops with what they have said flying colours and here I sit, still waiting. Feel like I have stalled out again since my appointments (one again flying colours) with the NUT/behaviourlist May 4th... waiting... waiting lol
