He meant she would report his post and then the moderators would make a decision as to whether he was breaching the rules or not.  There are moderators but they can't get to every forum on a daily basis so that is why they have the report button and then they look into those.

I so agree with your post Tracey...

so much is common sense - and that isn't determined by your status pre or post surgery...

Also - some people just write better....understand better......are more patient etc.....how boring if we were all alike......

I would also like to add that attitude is everything.....and I mean this sincerely.....if you are determined to be a success then you will be successful....and so on

 Natalie,

No, there are no bosses or anything like that (unless there are moderators that we never see, because we are so well behaved, lol) and yes, everyone on here as far as I know, started off as a newbie!

there are no mods but a mod will poke their head in when someone 'reports a thread" for content issues or slander etc.

it has happened.... people can feel awfully brave when they are behind a keyboard

the rules have changed so much in Ontario that I would never assume to know nor comment on what is happening or the process... i was one of the last remaining people allowed to go out of country to BARIX before they shut that down.. 2.5 years ago

what i do fid interesting and slightly perturbing is the lack of (mis)information wrt what you should be eating and the fuzzy nutritional counselling..... learn as much as you can from other people!! ask as many questions in your support groups!

Interesting to see that none of the self proclaimed 'vets' that push people around and act as though they get paid to provide a service in this website have said a single word in this thread. Normally when the word 'Vets' appears in a thread title they are all over it tooting their own horns and making people feel stupid.

Youre not being a smart ass Linda. You're speaking your mind which is welcome here or in any other website on the net. Its a public forum. Nobody runs the show here accept the moderators which we never see anyway.

Hey - you're not talking about mere you??

I agree with Tracy - I think vet is a handy short form, but not really representative. I can think of a few people who had surgery before I did - that I would NEVER listen to their advice. And some "newbies" who have pretty good advice - especially when it comes to current processes.

I don't know why you were jumped on Linda - that made no sense to me. At 6 months many people are closing in on goal - how else would you define a "vet"?

Its not how I feel Karen. Its how MANY members here feel. Im simply not afraid to speak. I cant be bullied and I have no problem with giving attitude back 5 times as worse than I received. Im in no way the 'feeling bullied' ambassador either but the topic came up and I jumped in.

I wasnt referring to anyone in particular however youve been here a long time Karen just like I have been. You know who is who around here and im sure you know who I am referring to.

Apparently there is an issue between you and this threads author regarding 'scoffing'. I didnt know about this issue when I posted and what I said had nothing to do with treatment that the thread authour may or may not have received and it had nothing to do with you. I dont even know who she is. Ive never seen her post before.

Was just a coincidence

Peace
