One more day of optifast, INR appointment Tuesday, catch plan Wednesday.  Post op Thursday morning.  Surgery Friday November 18. I had no trouble with the optifast for three weeks, Kinda shocked how your not even hungry.  As of today I have lost 22 pounds on the optifast, which works out to about a pound a day.  I am hoping the travel plans work out and all goes well.  Will be traveling from Thunder Bay to Hamilton.  Have made arangments for shuttle service to Hamilton.  Kinda worried about ride home.  Is there a lot of pain sitting?  We will be in Hamilton for a week.  will be coming back 5 days after operation. We will have to kill around 10 hours in Toronto airport and I am worried about having to sit around for that long. Robin (Bain) will keep you informed on how I am doing.  Thanks all for all the great info I have learned on this site.Joyce

All the best Joyce.

I am sure that you will be walking, sipping and tooting at the Toronto airport for the 10 hours that you will be there!

Hey Joyce!  Good luck with your surgery!! You must be so so excited!!!  I had a 2.5 hour ride home after surg, and survived quite nicely lol.  Make sure you ask for and take your pain meds.  You might find bringing a pillow with you to hold against your tummy in the vehicle helpful.     I bet that you'll be so excited to get back home and into your own bed, that you won't even notice the ride home!
Big hugggggggggggles!!

I hope that your travel connections and plans all run smoothly.  It won't be long now and you'll be joining us on the loser's bench.

I had a 2 hour ride home the day after my surgery and I was so glad to be heading home that I didn't mind the ride. A pillow is a good idea to make yourself comfy.  Sitting shouldn't be a big problem although you may need a nap at some point.

I wish you all the best and looking forward to hearing all your wow's.
