Calcium Question.. probly asked a million times...
I've been reamed a couple of times for this, so I'm going to share what Karen M. told me (and it's basically a repeat of Diminishing Dawn's point:
teh chewables, if you read their labesl have a little bit of calcium citrate in, but not a lot.
Thye are made mostly of glycerin and calcium carbonate.
For normal people, that's fine - but we cannot absorb calcium carbonate cuz we're lacking the body parts.
Citrical (the little pills) taste like chalk, but they are made up of CALCIUM CITRATE, which is what we can absorb.
Or we can use Wellesse in liquid form. Both work.
I tend to buy the mega-bottles of Wellesse, cuz it works out cheaper - especially when they're on sale at Costco.
Now I just need someone to whack me upside the head to remember to take the damn stuff more often!
