Darren I had a hard time with the vanilla as well so I would mix the vanilla and chocolate together, half a pack of vanilla and half a pack of chocolate just to use them up.

As for not being able to get all four shakes in a day. What was suggested by the dietitian at the weight management clinic was to divide the fourth pack into the thee you are consuming. Ie a 1/3 into each shake. This way you are getting all four shakes  in per day but only drinking three. This really worked for me. Hope it does for you as well...

 Sorry to hear that you aren't among those of us who didn't mind the Optifast stage.  I flavoured my vanilla with different crystal light flavours so that I had a different fruity type shake. The decaf coffee was also pretty good.

Keep up the good work.....your almost there and getting your wl tool is definitely worth the struggles in my opinion. I wish you all the best for a successful journey.

Thank you. I tried mixing crystal light with the vanilla and it made me sick. I'm not a sweets person as it I wish we could make savory shakes lol.

Have you tried the lemon lime or the lemonade ones?  They're quite tart, might cut some of the sweet for you.

hang in there. I too had my cheat with a couple of pickles. Missing that crunch is the hardest. You can try mixing 1/2 1/2 with van/choco. Also try making a vanilla ice cap. Decaf/vanilla opti with aSF vanilla or add some splenda. Really need to do your best to get the 4 shakes in. Remember it is only 900 cal with the 4.

I tried the vanilla with a teaspoon of cocoa powder. Wow ! That made all the difference in the world. I have 5 van pouches left so I'll do that until they are gone and get my last week of choco.

Careful with the cocoa powder, it has carbs and fat in it, it isn't a 'calorie free' additive like the crystal light.

It has only .5 g of fat, 20 cals, 2g of carbs, zero sugar, and 1 protein per 1 tablespoon and I'm only using half of that just to get down the vanilla optis as I've tried everything else.

 When I was on opti-fast, I was allowed to have up to 60 extra calories per day. They know we add things to the opti-fast. A tsp or 2 won't hurt ... I even checked with my dietician and she was ok with it. 

Just sayin'...

Also crystal light packets have 10 calories in them. So if you have 10 packets in a day that's 100 cals :p
