Learn to Run Program at The Running Room
Then I am lost in the middle of Orleans, with a stitch in my side and a splint in my shin, humiliated and wondering why on earth I thought this was a good idea!!!!
Gah!!!
The point in sharing my story was to remind you to make sure you get what you need regardless of where everyone is. For me, we were walking in the dark in High Park (not the safest place to be at night) and the instructor was supposed to stay behind everyone but she didn't and yes I was left alone. I felt sorry for myself and embarrased and did the wrong thing by not discussing my fears with the trainer. She should have stayed with me. Instead I quit the program and never gave them any feedback. I regret not standing up for myself. Give them a call before you start and explain your concerns to the trainer. Hopefully you will have a great experience. If you are running in the dark, take a little flashlight and your mobile with you to insure safety. I had neither and felt very vulnerable.
