L- 1oz of tuna & cucumber slices
S- Protein coffee
D- Chicken parmesan (1.5 oz) and 1cup garden salad
S- apple slices & low fat cheese string
RNY, 1.5 Weeks Post Op
Looking forward to a good day today! It's my last day off work (start back next week working from home). I have a long walk planned for this morning, then a pedicure with my Mom (she is treating me - so nice of her!), and then she's taking the kids overnight so HB and I can go to a movie.
Here's today's menu:
B - 1/3 cup protein shake, 1/4 cup oatmeal with SF Brown Sugar Syrup, Skim Milk and a tablespoon of unflavoured protein powder. Multivitamin.
S - 2/3 cup protein shake, Calcium.
L - 1/2 cup cream of celery soup with a tbsp. of protein powder, 1/4 cup pudding with some protein powder, Calcium.
S - 2/3 cup protein shake, Iron.
D - 1/4 cup V8 Juice, 1/4 cup cottage cheese with cinnamon, splenda, and 1/2 tbsp of protein powder, 1/4 cup greek yogurt with sugar free syrup to flavour and another 1/2 tbsp. of protein powder, Calcium.
S - 1/3 cup protein shake, B12
Bedtime - Multivitamin

D- checken with small potato and green beans
Skipping snacks today as I ate the lions share of Jube-jubes yesterday. Might have fruit if I get hungry

Thanks Karen. I made a beautiful sapphire blue and light blue crystal one Sunday when we went.
My friend has been making them and selling them to her coworkers. She works in a large insurance firm so once someone buys something everyone wants in on the action. My jewelry making addiction started last year when I wanted to make a bracelet for my medical ID tag. Now I am doing wire wrap, making earrings, chainmaille etc. The newest is the Shamballa bracelets.

OH gawd, that sounds lovely! I am really interested in learning jewelry making but can't seem to find a place (other than the Living Arts Centre, which is hugely expensive) that provides classes at a REASONABLE price. I'll have to keep looking around!

I find it very calming. I seem to lose myself when I am doing it. I would suggest asking at your local Michael's store. They would have a real good idea where the bead stores are in your area. Most shops offer classes. I wish you where closer we could go together. Its a lot of fun and I always meet interesting people when I go.
The Shamballa bracelets are so easy to make. If you know how to macrame then half the battle is won. Youtube has excellent videos if you want to take a peek.

Yes, I looked up Michael's and they do run 2 hour classes on specific techniques/topics. I will look into bead stores though - I'd like something a little more in-depth. Thanks Ann!

So I raced home from work last night, jumped on my bike and spent 2 hours pedalling furiously up and own the hills of the Humber River valley.
My ass is so sore today, but this was totally worth it. I really needed to make up for a couple of days of inactivity.
B - bowl of muesli w 1/2 banana, large coffee
S - 1% cottage cheese w strawberry pieces
L - leftover lamb burger (no bun) and roasted root vegetables
S - 1 pear, 2nd coffee
D - salad w grilled salmon
Swimming (aquafit) on Saturday morning, hiking on Sunday (in the rain likely).
What is a "Protein coffee" exactly?
I run The O.W.L.S. (Ottawa Weight Loss Surgery) Closet. We are a local clothing exchange and social group stemmed off of a couple of the local support boards on Facebook and also OH members for those having had or going to have WLS. We meet monthly for a large clothing exchange and potluck in the East end of Ottawa.
