After trying many brands, I have been using Bio-X in chocolate flavour and found it similar in taste and consistency of Optifast.  I buy mine at Popeyes and highly recommend stopping by a location as the provide samples of their products.  I get 30g of protein in about 140 cals. I wasn't big on the vanilla flavour but hey, I didn't enjoy vanilla opti as much as the chocolate.

I have never been to Popeyes (well, except for the absolutely delicious Popeye's chicken place that I will miss forever and ever. LOL) ... I plan to get my Hubby to drag me out and get a bunch of samples. Thanks!

Try Nectar. THey have many flavors. I got sick of chocolate and banana. I am now into the fruity flavors. Their Fuzzy Navel mixed with Lactaid milk tastes like a dream cycle. I have Twisted cherry and cappuccino coming today. They mix well in water and taste like koolade or juice. YOu can use ho****er with the cappuccino and it tastes like a starbucks type coffee. =)

I just looked up the nectar brand, they even make an unflavoured one. I may check around town to see if I can grab some.

Any other ideas folks?

I used to do the Costco RTD that is so popular but never really liked it.  Now, I am buying the Whey Isolate Creme Vanilla (powder) (Body Fortress) from Walmart and its cheaper (0.50 cheaper PER shake) and I like the taste without adding anything to it!  There is also chocolate or something like that flavour available but the carb or sugar or fat (lol) is higher then the Vanilla one so I stick to that one!

Hope it gives you more options!

Happy Hump Day :)

That's the same one I buy.  I have bought the other flavours and they are similar in stats.  It's the Super Advanced ones that are higher than the regular whey protein. I hated Premier as well.

To whoever posted about iwindirect.com, thanks. I just ordered nine samples. Shipping and handling just under $17. A price I'm willing to pay to try all of these (Superstore has chocolate flav  samples sometimes for 1.99)

Yes thank you to the one that posted that site. The products look great and Canadian made. The samples though I was going to order, but they are not whey isolate, which my centre advises is the only protein I can use. Perhaps your centre allows it, which is great enlightened

I will e ordering the vanilla whey isolate this Friday so I gave it when I get home from my RNY Thursday (assuming all goes well) indecision

Starting to gets the jitters
