Not sure what just happened!

Okay, I'm on day 10 of opti. Haven't swayed, haven't cheated (surprised myself a bit, lol). Had my shake this morning, and then my coffee, and then bang! Instant cramps, severe, the trots which I've not ever had yet while on opti and I felt sick, sweaty. Only thing I can think, sugar by mistake in my decafe coffee that I got on my way to work? I'm still feeling poorly, hope this passes. Any ideas?

maybe they gave you normal coffee instead of decaf?  have you been taking fiber suppliments with your opti?

Sounds like the Opti-trots all around.  It's pretty common.

Do you normally have a reaction to sugar?

Well that horrible feeling was the high light of my day! I hope I never feel that way again. I will definitely follow my diet to a 'T'! Sugar has never been a problem before not sure what happened.

I know every clinic is different but sugar may interfere with weight loss pre surgery which means your liver won't shrink as much as it could.  If it's not small enough, they can't operate (is what I've been told as recently as yesterday) so maybe do sweeteners instead?  Why the diarreha reaction...it just happens sometimes, it did with me once and actually, it was on one of my few coffee days come to think of it.  Maybe they mixed up regular with decaf?  I'd be more worried about the sugar thing and ask your clinic a few questions.
