I'm sure your family is just scared if something goes wrong, they just love you and don't understand much about the surgery. After the surgery is over they will be wright there behind you. Hi! I just went through that with my family and I understand how much it hurts. I just had my surgery on Dec 10 and had my first check up today. I have lost 14 lbs and mote importantly I will no pomegranates to need to take meds for high blood pressure. This was an intensely personal decision and only I could make it. As a person of faith I believe that the opportunity was guided and directed by the Lord birthstone is personal. I just wanted to encourage you to make your own decision and if you believe it's right for you go for it. I am willing to have further conversation if you want to. God bless you and your decision.
