Topic: A little info about my journey
Sandra Jean Mcclain
i have blue cross blue shield of Minnesota through Jake's work and they cover it. so i went through one of the providers they allow. his name is Dr tersigni and he is in coos bay. i originally started at ohsu, but they just jerked me around. first it took me over a year to get a surgery date and when it finally came they started the surgery and ended up aborting the surgery because supposedly my liver was in bad condition. so after a whole bunch of tests to rule out liver problems , which all the test came back fine, they decided not to go forth with it. so i went to the next dr on my list and got a second opinion and he agreed to do it . so from start to finish with my new surgeon it was a month and half(because i already had all my pre-surgery tests done)and i had my band placed on september 17th in coos bay. and i am doing great. i will get my first fill when i am done healing (6 wks) on nov 2 down in coos bay.

Topic: Costco and 24 Hr. Fitness
The coming of falI means I will not be able to enjoy a nice walk on the water front in the early AM and have to move my exercising in doors. Luckily there is a great deal through Costco for 24 hr fitness right now and I just bought a membership.

Topic: Vitamin D spray
A friend shared this link with me, http://products.mercola.com/vitamin-d-spray/. Her naturopath recommended the spray to her. It is saying a serving is 6000 UI which is 6 pumps and a small bottle is a month’s supply. I just received mine in the mail. I have been taking a sublingual pill in the past. Prior to my surgery I had very low vitamin D and it was recommendedthat I continue to take and my levels have thus far been good.

Doing great so far, no complications. I dont really feel like I even had surgery! I have been trying all kinds of shakes and found some I like really well- Matrix~strawberry is really good , and i really like the OH YEAH! brand. The Ispure vanilla is really good with a little bit of vanilla mixed in. I also like the Dessert brand~cookies and cream flavor, vanilla and others.
Topic: One year out
Well I have not been on here in a long time so I thought I better update LOL I had my one yr anniversary on August 27, 2009. I was 292 when I checked into the hospital and now I fluctuate between 191 and 197. I assume thats water in there :( My personal goal was to get to 150 but I have been stuck in the 190's since bascially March and now its September. I am currently wearing between a size 14 and 16. It's really nice to shop at old navy let me tell ya! Or a "normal" store and pull something off the clearance rack that will actually fit. :) I feel really good these days!! If you have any questions feel free to ask!
P.S. REALLY need an easy splenda based birthday cake recipe since my bday is next Sunday LOL
