Topic: RE: Eugene support groups?
There is a support group through RiverBend The first Monday of every month for people under 6 months out and then like every third thursday (I'd have to look it up) for people over that.

Do you want some more information on it?

I just moved to Coos Bay from Palmer Alaska courtesy of the US Coast Guard.  We live in the Empire area.  It is very economically depressed and I am noticing a lot of vehicles getting broken into.  They are planning on putting a gate up for the Coast Guard housing which is good.  We don't have much but what we do have..I don't want to lose.

I am not impressed with the schools right now, but we are brand new here so I'll give it some time before I research other schools for my children.  The summer here was beautiful and I'm hoping the winters are pleasant.  Anything is better than negative 20.

I understand that many support meetings don't have meetings in the summer months.  Many people are so busy with outdoor activities and going on vacations that they simply don't take the time to go indoors -- except to sleep and take showers.

Perhaps with fall weather approaching, more people would be willing to attend meetings of your support group.  All they have to do is to express their interest and be committed to attend.

Topic: Another step thru insurance process!!!
My PCP at Kaiser Permanente NW put in the referral for me for WLS on 8/10/09 (took a few months to get in to see her about this, but worth it.  She's a great doctor!).  I received the 18 page questionnaire to fill out about 1.5 weeks later; sent that back in about 3 weeks ago; was starting to worry maybe they didn't get it but trying to be patient... and today I got a letter with a date & time for their Intro meeting!   So I go to that on 10/5... Yay!

I know there's a lot more steps coming, but I'm really excited to have some movement!
