It was great!  There were quite a few people there.  It was the first one they've done, so I'm sure there will be even more next year.  I missed quite a bit of the Saturday afternoon stuff because I won the makeover and spent my afternoon getting pampered at the salon and then getting ready for the big reveal.  That was so much fun though.  I'm really looking forward to next year.   I think next year I'll try to stay at the hotel though because I think I missed out on getting to know a lot of people because I left to go home.   Who needs sleep?  lol  

  It sounds like your husband's specific plan has an exclusion for weight loss surgery.  The company I work for does also.  My understanding is that you will never be successful at getting the insurance to pay when there is an exclusion.  Some people have been able to get the employer to make changes to their policy.  I tried that and my company would not even consider it.  Don't give up hope.  Good luck!

Thank you!  I think Kaiser has all kinds of classes and groups but I have yet to look into it all.   I will def. check out OHSU groups!  It would just be nice to be around others doin the same thing....thus the support group lol ;p

Hey there I am just looking to see if there is anyone out there in the hillsboro/portland area that is on the GB journey.  

I was just approved for the Kaiser GB program and am excited about that.  I don't know anyone in this area that is going through or has gone through GB through Kaiser or not.
