It's on the SE 92nd Avenue side of th building. You will see the main entrance just to the left there are brick stairs that lead into the education area. This month the meeting is on the 26th at 7pm, combined with the lap banders. The topic is vitamins, why  & how much.

Hey everybody,

I'm trying to get an idea of the interest in having a Pouch Party in the Portland/Seattle area. I know your first question: what the heck is a Pouch Party?

My friends Nikki and Jennifer do Pouch Parties and it's essentially like having a food tasting, cooking show, and cooking lessons all in one. Nikki hangs out on the RNY board a lot and you can check out some of her recipes on her blog (http://bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com). She has a motto that any food can be made weight-loss surgery friendly!

I'd like to get a Pouch Party together out this way, however, I need to know that there is enough interest. You can either post here or PM me if you're interested and I'll let the Pouch Party gals know what comes of it!

I'm in Cedar Mill - not too far from Hillsboro.  If you ever want to meet up for coffee at Starbucks or something - just say the word!

I've got a list of PCPs that could perhaps be helpful to you.  Docs who specifically have WLS post-ops in their practice and are WLS friendly.  You might have to go outside of Hillsboro to find someone who fits that bill, tho.

I see Dr. Marni Foley at the Portland Clinic (on TV Hwy & Millikin in Beaverton) - she's been my PCP since WAY before my DS and has been amazing.  I love her!  But, she can be hard to get in to see - she's very, very popular.

There is a Beaverton Support Group meeting this coming Wednesday - it's open to all - pre-op or post-op, any surgery, any surgeon - please feel free to join us - I just posted the particulars here on the forum.  We welcome any/all questions.

Hey guys - just wanted to get this out there!

This group is open to all patients, all surgeries, and is patient driven.

Let's go to the Black Bear Restaurant for dinner. (It is on the corner of TV Hwy and Hocken Road.) We will meet there at 5:30PM. Meeting is at 7PM,
directions as follows:

The support group meeting will start at 7pm at the same location we have
recently been using - at Carr Chevrolet. Directions follow:

15005 S.W. Tualatin Valley Hwy.
It is one block west of Murray Blvd next to Kmart on the north side
of the road. We are meeting in the lunch room - up the stairs near the
receptionist. Then turn right and go down to the end of the hallway
- last door on the left.
