I just recently got my approval through Kasier NW as well. I filled out my packet the day I got it and mailed it the next morning. I got a letter last Friday (one week later) inviting me to the orientation on May 7th, 2010. I am very anxious. The orientations are usually the first Friday's of the month.

I am well, down 80# and NOT gaining...whew! Still not a diabetic; moving more, but due to Rheumatoid arthritis can't be as active as I sould be- am certain I'd lose easily if I could move more!

That was very sweet of you to reply to my post. I am not getting any counselling because I can not afford it. I am unable to afford my medications to at this time. Medicare quit covering anti depression and anti anxiety medication. Government run health are is not all its cracked up to be...
Anyway, I am going day by day now and some are good and some are not.

I am new here, and just wanted to introduce myself as I begin this journey. I got an approval letter yesterday from Kaiser Permanente that allows me to enter their severe obesity program, and hopefully start down the road to Roux N Y surgery.
