I had surgery with Dr Tersigni (self pay however) in Coos Bay ( I live in PDX..) and I must say I recommend him constantly to anyone that will listen. He is fantastic as well as everyone I have encountered at Bay Bariatrics. I switched insurance (I have PEBB also) shortly after my surgery and wanted to transfer to someone closer to me, so had my records faxed to Dr Patterson's office and they never contaced me and never answered their phones! I am so happy for that now since I am still Dr. Tersigni's pt. and get the personalized care that I like. I don't feel like I am on a conveyer belt and my lapband has been a fantastic success (124 pounds down..woop woop!!). If your insurance won't cover it, they will hook you up with a way to finance. Good luck!!!

Hi Lisa-I will try and make it up one of these days-I just took on teaching a Saturday class so will have to wait until a term break lines up with the last Saturady or summer.

I've seen a few of his commercials and viewed the testimonials on his website.  Something very appealing about no scalpels touching my body!

Topic: RE: Employers with insurance to cover WLS?
My husband works as an engineer for a major internet site, he has Aetna and I can't find any WLS exclusions in our plan.  I had VBG in 2001 and now I'm hoping to get a revision to DS or RNY.

Hi Heather,

The group is open to anyone, post-op and pre-op for any WLS type. We try and meet one a month. I have not got a date for April yet, but it's usually on a Thursday. Please feel free to pm me if you would like to talk or meet!
