Add me to the list of those congratulating Gene on his accomplishments! As for those that are in other countries and states, thanks to the internet, we can stay in touch with people a lot easier these days, though it's not the same as seeing them up close and personal, it is better than the old horse and pony mail days. . .

TGIF everyone!
Work for me today - feeling slightly more productive since yesterday, when I actually got closure on a couple of things...
I'm working at home so can break for a water aerobics class as an early luch. I'm also planning today' food carefully. I'm not way off track but haven't been planning and journalling the way I need to.
Quiet night most likely. Mike is working up on the other side of Harrisburg and it will be a late day for him.
Tomorrow we have FUN plans - Pouch Party during the day, then Jerry Blavat at the Kimmel Center. No, I'm not a native Philadelphian, and no, I'm not (quite) old enough to remember all that doo-wop music, but what a showman he is! It's become one of our little traditions to see the Blavat shows. Now THAT'S a date night!

having lunch with a friend, then spending the afternoon with him.
Siehara and I were invited to dinner by a woman at synagogue. I believe we are going to go. We haven't been there before for dinner and I think it would be a nice change of pace. Plus, she has a friend coming to talk about earning some extra income and I want to see if it's something I might be able to do.
That's about it for me.

Lisa! I've been wondering who this new person was and how strange it was that she and you both have a daughter with the same unique spelling! How WIERD!!! Then, today, I realize, where has Lisa been?? Why hasn't she posted? Why isn't she commenting on the coincidences between herself and this...this...new person...what's her name anyway? Morning Nicole and the rest...
I'm back at work this morning already and while my mood has improved from yesterday, my work day is sucking already. A hectic night in Allentown has caused some activity in our office this morning already, all night actually.
I'm working till 4pm and then working EMS at the Ironpigs game tonight from like 5:30 to probably 11:00ish. After that, I will be going home and going unconscious until sometime tomorrow.

Good morning Nicole and everyone - I am up and dressed for work - I SOOOO don't want to go in...two days off was blissful! Except that maybe some teenage drama might be JUST the distraction that I need. I have been seriously struggling with some issues that are VERY painful - way more than expected. I know what I HAVE to do but man...I so do NOT want to do it! This journey has brought me way more than I ever expected!
In any event - off to school, hopefully the kids did not trash my classroom and they still remember what I look like. This morning is our memorial tribute to our beloved Officer Tom. I am wearing a t-shirt with a poem on it written about Officer Tom from one of my students. With my heart and head already a mess, should be a VERY emotional morning. Oh well - a girl can always use a good cry right?!?! After school I will be sure to argue with the kids about going to the carnival. I have no interest in going, but I have put them off all week.....ugh......like my facebook status says - FML!
