Just came back from Maura's BBQ and it was great time with good friends. BUT I received a note from my primary doctor that my complete CBC came back showing I have mild anemia and it is NOT Iron Deficient? What the heck does that mean? I wonder if any one has had this. I take 60mg of iron at night with vitamin C as recommended by Dr. P but wonder what NOT iron deficient means? Any clue as to what the doctor might be talking about? The doctor's office is closed until Tuesday.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

I have a blood disorder that causes anemia but is not caused by Iron defficiency.

My RBC's are half the size of a normal person's, kinda like Sickle Cell, on mine aren't sicle shaped, just very small. And this causes very low Hemoglobin & hematocrit.

I have NO clue what your numbers are or your personal situation with Iron, just letting you know Anemia isn't always just iron.

Definition of Anemia:

What is anemia?

Anemia is a common blood disorder, which is caused when there is a drop in hemoglobin or hematocrit in the blood.
