Good Morning PA!
This is so not like me - I can't sleep tonight so I'm sitting here with the computer on my lap hoping to be able to go back upstairs and sleep. I was sound asleep, something woke me so here I sit @ 1:45 am.
Today I will be heading into the office. Hopefully with being awake now I'll wake up on time when my alarm goes off. I have quite a few things to catch up on while in the office prior to being off on Wednesday. All the new computer programs/databases that the organization is implementing although exciting to be learning and experiencing new things, the bugs that need to be worked out become annoying at times. Last week my desktop started shutting itself off and rebooting every 10 to 15 minutes. Friday they replaced the tower, tomorrow I get to use it for the first time. I plan to spend a good part of the day on the phone with our IT department.
The kitties are still at odds. It's going on 3 weeks that Ez has been in the house - Hider is no closer to accepting him. Like I said it has only been 3 weeks and she's been an only kitty for 13 years.
We are still in the process of trying to get the house completed. Our son-in-law has been over every Saturday since Thanksgiving. He has one more door to hang and trim to complete. Then all that will be left is painting and bringing the rest of the furniture back into the house. We have brought some stuff in that we could fish out of the shed without emptying the entire thing. Hopefully I'll be able to cook Christmas Dinner for my daughters & son-in-laws. We had planned to have Gene's mom and brother over for Christmas day. His sister called to let us know she's decided to change family tradition and have their Family gathering on Christmas day now. Christmas day is the only holiday that I spend with my children. Christmas Eve has been the day when Gene's family gets together. I really cannot tell my daughters that I have to change our tradition because Gene's sister is changing their tradition. Not fair to my daughters and they would both be very upset if I even thought of doing it.
Enough rambling for me.
Hope you all have a wonderful day...

Hi Ruby,
I am also having my surgery in Philadelphia, but at Temple. I am going to go the DS route. Good luck and keep us posted.
Welcome to the PA board! We will give you what ever support we possibly can since most of us on this board have had RNY(gastric bypass). If nothing else we can give you emotional support!
Good luck to you!
I am 3.5 years out and have maintained most of my weight loss!

Glad to see you posting roll call! I am sitting here relaxing from a long, hard day at work. This weekend was very busy and exhausting!
I am so happy to hear that Siehara is doing so well!!!! I am doing the happy dance!
You and Neil will work it out. You two love and care about each other. He will find a job, hopefully soon!!!! I will cross my fingers!!
Well, I am beat. Take care and keep us updated!!
Love, Beth
I am here but not as much as I used to be. I have been in my own little world, especially since losing my mom. I just don't feel the same about this board as I did. It also saddens me that this board is not as active. I also take it personally when I have posted and only a few have responded.
I will try to get on here but the next couple of weeks are going to be very busy with my concert and such....
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and cherish what is really important in our lives!!
Love, Beth
Hi Lisa;
I sent a posting that might interest Neil.
Hider is not yet ready to look out for Ez - if she could get one of the shipping boxes from the mailman put Ez in it and ship him out of the house she'd be one happy Kitty! Hopefully someday she will realize he is not leaving and start to be nice to him.

Hi Lisa, Ida, Trish, anyone else. . .
It is certainly a bright spot to see your face and read your post today! That Siehara is doing so well is wonderful to read and while you may once in a great while have ups and downs, you've been the most wonderful mother a girl could have and I truly believe that one day Siehara will more fully appreciate that. Great that she is putting her creativity to good use and making a little money of her own doing so, I'm with the idea of you showing some photos of her creative side.
I'm at work, went out at lunchtime to a noontime AA meeting and it was hard to come back to work, what a lovely day! Though the calendar reads December and the long haul of winter is here, I'll take this breath of whatever kind of weather you want to call it. . .
I had a very busy weekend myself and last night I put my pjs on at 5:38 p.m. and crawled in bed with my kindle and played backgammon and watched television until my eyes were so sleepy and the clock read a time that I could give in to, which was about 9 p.m., I slept straight through to 5 this morning and according to the clock on my computer, I am out of here in less than 2 hours. Plan for this evening is to relax at home with the Roxie girl. Part of my weekend involved decorating my house for Christmas and I put a Santa hat on Roxie and she allowed me to do so for a little while and then she shook off the hat and tried to play eat it. . . I will try to post the picture here, as it was quite humorous the more I took shots of her, the more she seemed to glare at me. Anyway, I'm mostly done with my Christmas shopping and funny thing, I've noticed that the stores have not been as crowded as some years; my daughters, DIL and I went shopping on Black Friday and it was fairly painless, well other than the expense of it all (lol). Guess people are being cautious, I know I am, I've scaled back to just my grandchildren, with a little something for their parents, but that's it. Just cannot afford to put myself in a hole. The sad part of the holiday season is that the sort of things most kids want today, are very expensive and they are the sort of things that you really want them to have. Anyway, enough of me yakity yaking. . .
Just nice to see the thread and people posting to it!
Have a great day, what's left of it! And hope Neil finds his job situation righted and you your revision.
Hugs, Laureen

Hi Ida, I will make sure Neil knows to keep checking AmeriHealth for postings. Thanks for the info.
Good news about the kittehs.. I DO think Hider is coming around. They will learn to love each other and I wouldn't be surprised if you start to see Hider looking out for Ez. RE: the house.. Hope things work out for the best. I know this has been a long road.
Good luck in moving forward in your career. It's always a good idea to keep trying to move around and up so you know that you have a job!
