White Face
Shadows pass across my face
wondering where is my place
For in this world I do not fit
so restlessly, alone i sit
You talk of money fortune and fame
yet i find this talk somewhat lame
It's matters of the heart most concerning me
the light within that most don't see
I watch the world roll slowly by
and knowing it's useless, still I try
I'm here for awhile, I have no choice
maybe some day you'll hear my voice
I am a person looking for a place
an open heart, a smilling face
A person to listen to understand
a person to lend a loving hand
Until that day I'll paint my face white
a symbol of my lonely plight
A mask to wear for all to see
until another white face finds me
