IF by Stephanie Walker If all there was to know Was known by only me And the only place to go I was all there was to see. I'd start at the beginning And I'd make myself anew With a will that's free for sinning To forget all that I knew. Then I could learn again That which I could only teach That the truth of I as woman Is there's nothing I can't reach 10-22-05 Written in hopes of a new life.

Topic: our love
(this is a bit rhymy and sappy but , it is exactly what our love felt like , mine and his. ) ******************************************************* ***Our Love**** our love is like a battle that we can never win, it runs pure like my tears ; but at times it drips with sin our loves a contradiction that tears my heart in half ; I'm laughing while I'm crying and I'm crying as I laugh this love could be so simple , but we chose to make it hard the things that we don't understand we are so quick to discard your love is like a blade that is held up to my flesh I tremble when beaneath it but then the pain and pleasure mesh our love is like confusion; at times it seems surreal but then it seems the only thing that's left that I can feel our loves an expectation , I'm trying to live up but if my bottles empty then I can't fill up your cup. our love envelops me and then it clouds my mind , our loves the only thing I see , our love it makes us blind. copyright Sara gonsalves 2001

Topic: The Old Mans Garden
I wrote this in 2004 The Old Mans Garden For my entire life it was there A beautiful vegetable garden, brimming with life He was there too, weeding and tending An old man, but young in his labors Every year tilling the soil and harvesting natures bounty Corn and Squash Tomatoes and Beans A Pumpkin patch He would sell some of the extra produce to supplement his retirement Last year the garden was thriving in the spring Full of promise Around the Fourth of July I started to notice weeds No pumpkins at Halloween Today it is just a large patch of weeds The sign in front of the house said "Estate Sale" I stopped and bought the old mans hoe I never knew his name

Topic: I dont miss you
You were part of my life, For such a long time, Stood right there with me, No matter how much I whined. You soothed my fears, You made me smile, You were my best friend, For the longest while. When I was happy, So were you, When I was sad, You were too... No matter the day, No matter the hour, You were always there, With that great power. Than 2 years ago, Somthing came over me, I decided to let you go, It was time for me to be free. As i sit here without you, I have nothing to fear, I have other things, That I now hold dear. I can honostly say, My dreams came true, And I can honstly say, I DONT MISS YOU!! Dedicated to the 274 pounds I lost!! Written by Jennifer Smith 6-13-05

Topic: Rainbows and stars
We used to watch the sun come up,It'd sparkle in her eye,We'd listen to the whipperwil calling out it's lonely cry.Remember walking hand in hand chasing rainbows from afar? The open sky was so beautiful that we could almost reach a star.I know my Lords a good lord.He giveth and take away. But dear sweet Jesus wont you bring back what you took that fatal day.A traggic crash and now she's gone. I cant believe it's true. You snatched away the breathe of life from the only love I knew.Since shes gone, the sun don't shine, the whipperwils don't cry.I can't even chase a rainbow cuz tears burning in my eyes.everytime that I reach for a star,I come crashing to the ground. But there's something deep inside my soul that picks me up for another round.I have to keep believing we'll be together again, you and me.I'll hold you close into my arms and hold you for eternity. Then once again the suns pure light will sparkle in your eyes.and we'll listin to the whipperwils calling out it's happy cry.The moral of my traggic tale is never give up your faith. You never lose the ones you love, they just go to a better place. The memories and the hopes and dreams will once again be ours.Just never give up chasing rainbows and reaching for the stars.
