Just came across this board. Wanted to say hi, doesnt like like there is a bunch of action in here.

Hey John, I just stumbled across this page by accident today and saw your post. I am a police officer in Houston, HPD and my brother is also an HPD officer and he lives in Katy too. And....his name is John. Small world! I guess I am not the only officer in town who has had surgery. I am barely one month out and have been having big problems with diarhea. I have been in the hospital for the last two weeks and have had every test in the book. They are all baffled . Hopefully it will get better soon. I am curious if you told the people you work with that you had the surgery. I have only told a handful of my closest friends. How was it going back to work? I am so weak from being sick for so long that I cannot imagine going back right now. I am holding on and keeping faith that God will see me through this and heal me soon. Take care and be safe!
