Topic: Howdy Folks
Howdy, I'm Cas and have been a CHP Officer for 21 yrs. I grew over time to twice the hero I used to be. I finally started the ball rolling for WLS and opted for the RNY.
I ride a desk now so I'm hoping a few days in the hospital then I can go back to desk quickly. Not much lifting and such lately.
Any other coppers out there?

Hey Jay, I had surgery almost exactly 1 year ago. Feb 28th will be 1 year, I am down 130 lbs and feeling great. Make sure you stick to your program, I have not followed mine to a t and my weightloss has slowed down a lot.

Hello, I am a Police Officer in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I have always struggled with my weight, but trained really, really hard to graduate the police academy while weighing 230 lbs. I am now between 240 and 250. I feel like I have gained 100 lbs since I graduated 5 years ago, but it's just the lack of exercise that is really making me feel fatter. I am really tired of jerks that will automatically refer to my weight when I am arresting them, like, "You're under arrest."..."F-you, fat f-ing pig!" Ummm...hello, I know I'm fat and you telling me just makes me angrier...jerk! Lately, I have become embarrassed to even do traffic stops! I have only started to look into this surgery and every day that I come onto this website, I look forward to having it done. I don't plan on telling anyone that I work with.
Sorry for rambling. This is the first post that I have responded to. It's nice to meet you

Hope you are lucky like me. The state has had to buy so many new uniforms for me. I love seeing the look on the guys face every time when I go for a new set at $65 per pants $45 per shirt x 6 $15 for belt. I think I will take a pitcure when I go in for $400 in jakets and rain gear.

Congratulations & Good luck on your upcoming promotion to sergeant. I'm happy to hear that you're doing so well after surgery. Keep up the good work. Stay safe.
