Topic: RE: Best WLS for PCOS?
It's different for everyone. A close friend of mine who's had severe PCOS had WLS almost 5 months ago and the surgery has improved her symptoms dramatically. She's 100+ pounds down and her PCOS is all but gone! She had RNY in May.
I have PCOS as well and am planning on having RNY. The information that my surgeon gave me says that in a great number of cases PCOS is mostly resolved after surgery. Not for everyone unfortunately but for a great number of women!

Topic: RE: Hysterectomy
I know how you feel. But if know one is dealing with your issue then you need to stand up and be heard. That is exactly what I had to do. I went to another OBGYN and discussed my problems and symptoms with him and he totally understood me! I was so amazed at how he took control over the situation and totally agreed that it was to my benefit having the hysterectomy. I have PCOS issues, major pelvic pain, and haven't had a period in months. His major concerns were the pelvic pain and no period in months. I had this procedure done in Jan for mild dysplasyia and my new OBGYN thinks he might have sealed something off and that is why I am not having a period. Which is also part of the pelvic pain that I am constantly feeling. I always feel so bloated and inflammed. I have awful pain during sex. Don't get scared find yourself a new OBGYN and get a pap done. I think you have more to worry about it you let it go. Since cancer runs in my family that is why I am so pushing for hyster. I don't want to be okay right now and then have something come up later. Thanks I have an ultra sound on Tuesday which is routine because he likes to do his own. I've already had one done but he feels he needs to do one. I don't care that's what insurances are for anyways.

Topic: Not sure who else to ask
I was diagnoised with Endometriosis, I am pre op for the sleeve. I was wondering if this could cause any issues with my Endometriosis or not. I dont want to suffer with that pain again... EVER!!!

So if anyone was any information I would love to hear it.

God bless our troops

Hello I understand how you feel. I have PCOS and no one ever brings it up not my OBGYN family doc no one. For the past few months I have been thinking I want a hysterectomy because of all the pain and most of all constant worry. I am to a point that I am scared to go get my pap. Good luck to you. Kim

Topic: RE: Has anyone Tried Vaniqua???
In my  opinion, I wouldn't waste your  money. I used it for a while but it was supposed to take 3 months for me to start seeing a difference and it wasn't permanent. Stop using the cream and it would all grow back in thicker and darker again. My doctor told me it was a lot like Rogaine.....just exactly the opposite and for your face instead of your hair. Stop using Rogaine, the new hair falls out again.......stop using Vaniqua, the hairs grow back. That is just my opinion, but I would sock that 80 dollars away for laser hair removal. Hope I helped!

I have the same problem-andit always seems to happen when I am laying down or sleeping-so then I have a mess to clean up-ugh, when I have a period at all.  the metformin helped a lot the first while I was on it.  The bc helped as well-Yasmin was great, and helped to clear up my "beard".  but, I have been off the bc for about two years now trying to get pregnant, and its just awful.  I never know when a period is going to come, and trying to track a cycle to get the number of days is impossible.  My dr gave me medroxyprogesterone to kick start the periods, but that just makes me feel super heavy and bloated.  some days I just want to quit!  I just started the weight loss presurgery diet to get a few pounds off before we try a round of clomid.  You are not alone!

100% agree. i thought my pcos went away, because it did for 9-10 months, and then ALL the symptoms returned, and i am still dealing with every single one of them 9 months after it started again

Thanks but I feel that this is the best resolution to my problem. It may not be for everyone but it is for me. Thanks again for your well wishes.
