If you go to the pregnant after WLS boards there are several women who've gotten pregnant not long after WLS ! They are VERY helpful too!!

Topic: RE: Who Never had their period and what happened after WLS....
I haven't had surgery yet, but have had PCOS for about 30 years now. I found losing weight always helped with having more periods. but I've had to take medicine to have normal periods all my life. But getting more regular and better weight allowed me to get pregnant twice. (Surprise and even bigger surprise.) I now have two healthy 19& 20 year old boys/men.
There is always hope and this surgery can only help.
Good Luck!

Topic: RE: First Normal Period!!!
I understand how you feel:) I had infertility for 7 yrs before I had my RNY and ever since surgery, my period has been on the same day every month with cramps, LOL!
I know if I were to want another child, we could get pregnant, so I'm sure you will be successful when you start TTC! Best wishes!

Congrats on your 1st normal period with cramps! : )
I use to have PCOS before I had my Ovarian Cancer so I completely understand!
Hope this finds you well.

Topic: First Normal Period!!!
Only someone with PCOS and infertility would appreciate a normal period with cramps! LOL I bled for 3 or 4 months straight (very light) and it finally stopped 3 weeks ago and now I'm having what seems like a normal period. (When I was 13 & 14 I had normal periods) I'm now 5 1/2 months out and can't wait for the time to come when my hubby and I can TTC!!! I now have hope we will be successful. :)

Topic: RE: NEED YOUR HELP "SKIN TAGS"
I have had the unpleasant pleasure of having skin tags... doctor suggested I use nail clippers... it is pretty much the same thing they would be doing... just make sure you use the clippers with the blade that goes straight across... learned this the hard way. You have 2 options A do it yourself or B if you cant you might be able to have a friend help you out. I wont lie, there is nothing pleasant about self inflicting pain like that... but I no longer have skin tags.

I never went that long between, but the longest stretch was 9 months ( and I was not preggo) but after my RNY they got more regualar never on a set schedul but monthly until the first of the year where they actually got on a 31 day cycle so when it didn't show in april I felt like something was up and it was I'm now 23 weeks pregnant. So in my experience it does help. We tried for 8 years without ever getting pregnant and then this baby was a suprise, so it's possible. Best of Luck!!!!
And on an added note. My period actually started before I left the hospital after surgery so be prepared for that. Hope that helps.

Mine hasn't stopped and I had my surgery 1 year ago. I use the razor more than my husband.
