Topic: Who Never had their period and what happened after WLS....
I wanted to know what happened to the cases where the women didnt get regular periods? (I only had mine four times over a course of 7 years, Im currently only 23).....and after the surgery did one follow...i want to normal...and i want to have children....can anyone help me????

Also surgeries like the VSG and the DS take out the left side of the stomach completely that overproduces ghrelin.. and helps contribute to your higher testosterone levels.. which leads to your increase in belly fat..

I have notice some skin tags have faded already (I'm 4 months post) and there are no new ones. My periods have been like clockwork the last 4 months --- and they haven't been that way in 30 years. Periods are still heavier than I'd like, but the pain seems less and periods seem shorter. I just wish the facial hair would go away too ..but after some laser treatments, its much better so things are good.
(I was taken off metformin the day after surgery -- and my diabetes has reversed itself, my cholesterol is back to normal and no more insulin shots in my gut everyday! I can live with some facial hair -- this changed my life.)

Just wante dto mention that the original post was writtenin 2005 so the person you're asking may not check the forums anymore :)
On a side note, I was denied 3 times -- you just have to keep working with them sometimes.

All my girl problems, hormone issues, and temperment issues are fixed.
IT changed my life..
but it could be because I had the VSG.. and the VSG completely removes the left side of the stomach that produces the ghrelin which helps contribute to our high testosterone levels..
RNY and Lapband don't.

My facial hair is the same, the weight is gone, lol, no more cysts not even the small little poly cycst..and about the infertility I would say get yourself fixed permanantley if you don't want anymore. I was 11 months out and not trying and got pregnant. I am currently 23 weeks and we were never able to concieve before wls...even with fertility drugs ( clmoid and injectibles) so I would say for some if not alot that it fixes infertility. Just be careful. P&PT's.

Sorry I did have it private. I changed that already so feel free to message me when ever you get a chance. Thats great news!! I'm so happy for you. See just have to have a little patience. Now you can start back on your WL journey. Well as for me. I spoke with my PCP earlier this morning and basically what she said is my OBGYN wants to keep an eye on it. 
Loser!! I have another appt with him in Sept. So he basically said that we'll make the call then. I think I'm going to have to start getting really harsh with him! He just doesn't understand how this is affecting me!! But come my next visit he will!!! Thats for sure. No more being nice. Its time I let the ***** come out to get my point across! Well take care of yourself and keep up the great work.

I got my first fill after my hysterectomy today... they were able to fit me in sooner then the 1st. WOOHOO!
Amanda put in 1/2 a cc.... and I am back to the same weight I was the day I had my hysterectomy ... woohoo again!
I did try to buddy you but you are on private... :) Hoe are you? Any new news?
