I had some skin tags that I recently had cut off. My dermotoligist said there is really no way to tell if they will come back or if they will not. I have had some that have disappeared. I can tell you though if you have them cut off it really is not that bad.

It's quite possible that you're body is becoming more normal.  Since you're ttcing this month if you know when you ovulated you can calculate when your AF should be due.  The typical LP phase (after ovulation) is around 14 days with an average full cycle lasting around 28-30 days counted from the 1st day of your last period.

Are you having any pregnancy symptoms?  I know that with both of my pregnancies I started having symptoms a full week before a urine test read +.

If you still have problems contact Kat directly.  There is a WLS area & after you have 25 posts you're able to post to any of the buddy forums.  Under the Diet & Exercise one there's one targeted to WLS.

Both the skin patches (known as Acanthosis Nigricans) faded away by the time I was a year out from surgery as my insulin levels decreased to normal levels & the skin tags just stopped growing...some of the small ones I think faded...frankly I don't remember.

Topic: My period history Anyone have any information?

I got my gastric bypass surgery Aug 20,2008. Before that I was on ortho cycling (the pill) right before my surgery I switched to the Nuva ring. Sense the first of the year my periods would come 3 day into the sugar pills, and 3 days after I took out my Nuve ring. The last 2 months my period came 2 days after, and last month it came the day after. Does anyone know why this is happening? Do you think my body is becoming more normal? We TTC this month and now I'm  waiting on my period but I don't know what day it would be missed.
I'm thinking about waiting until Monday sense it usally comes on Sat/Sun day. What do you think??? Thanks!

I was really starting to get bummed out when my period FINALLY showed up on Monday... almost exactly 2 months to the date after WLS.  Now I'm wondering why I was so eager for it - UGH CRAMPS!

Here's my question: When I read people say that their symptoms "went away" after weight loss, what do you mean exactly?  LIke, I see people say skin tags are no longer there.  Do they stop growing in?  Or do the ones that that are there shrink?  I'm just wondering if they will go away on their own or if they still have to be cut off?

Also, on the dark skin patches, will they eventually fade?  Does it take years?

Topic: RE: Hysterectomy after WLS
I have PCOS and had a hystero in February.  Unfortunatly I have NOT had WLS yet.  Im in Ontario, Canada and the entire process takes quite some time!

Fortunatly with my hystero they left one ovary and one fallopian tube in, so I didnt go through early menopause and thus, I dont need to take hormones.  As long as they leave at least one ovary in, that eliminates the need for HRT.

Im not sure what your situation is or if that is an option for you, but thought I would mention it.  As to your actual question, Im not sure what the effect of HRT would have on the weight gain/loss factor.

Have you had WLS surgery yet, and what type?

Congrats on your surgery!!I was diagnosed many years ago as well (Iam 30) but am preop still and actually had a hysterectomy in February.  I just wanted to add in that Im interested to see t he answers to your question, since I have the same question myself.  Im wondering if anyof those wonderful PCOS signs go away as the weight goes bye-bye!Do you guys also have browning of your skin?  My neck and upper inside thighs are very brown coloured and I also have brown patches on my breasts, underarms, tummy and legs!
