I had them removed twice. They just came back so I gave up. They're in my arm pits. I caused me a considerable amount of pain when I was on crutches. My dermatologist counted it as "in office surgery" which was the magic word for my insurance to pay.

I can always tell when I've gotten off my schedule taking my birth control pills. I got a boil! Usually in my inner thigh. I've actually gotten one once in an area we speak not of. I was soooo cranky that time.

Topic: RE: Hope for pregnancy after RNY
Just wanted to post an update. I went in last week for my ultrasound and heard the heartbeat. I swear I held my breath for a moment because I was just certain they had made a mistake and I wasn't pregnant afterall. It was AMAZING!!! I go back in a couple more weeks for another ultrasound but so far, so good!!

There are alot of different symptoms. weight gain, facial hair, skin tags, Insulin Resistance just to name a few there is this really great web site called soulcysters.com i love that one i have been on there since i was dx at 17.I have been trying to loose weight since then, i was dx with hypothyroid at the same time so i thought great i will just get on these meds and and my weight will just melt off, boy was i wrong, so now i am just starting the wls process but i have been told the pcos helps with the approval cuz it is a co morbidity. Well i hope this helps a little good luck with everything .

Topic: hi!
hi im new to this board, my name is jill and im still pre op. my question is when i was going through my trial of every means possible to lose weight i started seeing my doctor about medical problems (ive been heavy my whole life) and thyroid was ok, and they wanted to check for pcos, about a month later i went in for the blood work and they told me i was pregnant so they couldnt test because its based on hormones and mine were out of wack due to pregnancy. so it was put on the back burner, my son is now 18 months old and im on my leg leg before approval for surgery. i remember my new obgyn mentioned getting tested for it as well and i simply havent had the time to go in for blood tests and once again ive dropped the ball and put it on the back burner. im not sure if i have it or not and im really hoping that i can get the blood work done soon so i can get it out of the way, but my question is, has anyone been in this boat? what were your symptoms of it? what were the treatments and how has it affected you? how has it affected wls? sorry to long and so mnay questions!
thanks!
thanks!

Hi Alison.
I had a tubal ligation after the birth of my son. I have had no complications with it. What complications have you heard of? I haven't heard of any.
I was able to breastfeed my daughter until her reflux got to the point that her doctor advised me to go to formula. She was already a low weight baby and really couldn't afford to lose any more. With my son, my milk never came in. I tried pumping, massaging, medications, etc.
The same as the other situation, I have have never heard of ANY doctor telling a woman not to breastfeed because she had PCOS. Like many PCOS symptoms, not every woman has a problem with breastfeeding. If you have a low supply, you can suppliment with an SNS. I wish I had done this with my daughter instead of putting her 100% on formula.
Granted, I haven't had WLS yet, BUT, I've never heard of a doctor telling anybody not to breastfeed after WLS either. If you are taking your vitamins, and wait the approved time to TTC, you should be fine with the quality of your breastmilk.

I have boils constantly my last doctor said that he could always tell if my blood sugar was out of wack by how many boils I had. I was diagnosed with endometreosis at 15 and PCOS at 27 but I wonder if I had PCOS all along. My husband and I have been trying for years for a baby and my new doctor thinks RNY will help scheduled for 6-10-09. I hope it helps my boil situation too.
Topic: 2 Questions - PCOS & Tubal - PCOS & Breastfeeding?
Hi everyone,
Kind of juxtaposed questions but I'm looking for input or advice in these areas and decided to do one post on both...
Tubal - I have heard that many women who have had tubal ligation and have PCOS have had horrible complications afterwards. Wondering if anyone could add anything on this?
Breastfeeding - I have heard that some docs advise against breastfeeding for PCOS women especially after WLS. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this either. Supposedly it is linked to poor milk supply and quality?
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alison
