I also have PCOS and have for many years.  I didn't do this when I got my band.  However, I did have a period that went on for well over a month once before.  My doctor prescribed 10 days of Provera and it stopped my period.

I don't know if this is something you can take or maybe suggest to your doctor???

I have had PCOS for years, my main symptom being no periods at all for months at a time unless I am on "the pill".  I started back on birth control about 6 months ago due to other problems creeping up on me (hair falling out on head, growing other areas you dont want it, etc.).  My cycles were fine once I was on the pill.    Now, the problem...I had Lap Band surgery on March 12.  I was due to start my cycle around the 18th.  I started on the 15th--before the green pills even started.  Was on all the way through the green pills and ever since.  My doc had me take 2 pills a day for 3 days, the flow eased up, now 4 days later (after being back on 1 a day)  the flow has increased again!!!! 

My doc did blood tests, said all is fine, and just to "wait it out" because my body is probably in shock due to the surgery and rapid weight loss (I dont know about 'rapid"-but OK).  My question is, did anyone else do this?

I took accutane...but it was preop...but i can tell you even though there are side effects to the medication it was the best thing i ever did...like you nothing else helped my acne. i was only on it 6 months or so and it cleared my acne totally

Has anyone out there ever had to pay to have skin tags removed? I wouldn't care except I have a line of dark ones along my neck. I am 99% sure my insurance won't cover it and was just wondering how much it cost you if you had to pay to have them removed.
