Sheena,
Good luck with your surgery. Ultimately remember, this surgery is a tool. You have a free ride for at least 6-7 months, then the weight loss slows down. You've got a year to a year and a half to loose the weight, use that time wisely. Loose as much as you can and learn as much as you can in that time.
I've seen stats that 25% of all people regain every pound! Scary stat! So ultimately it's up to you to keep the weight off.
God luck,
Edie

Hello Kelly,
I jus got a surgery date 01/27/09
I actually am not on diabetic medication anymore. I used to be on all of it diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol. But I followed the diabetic diet and lot a little weight and exercised and my A1c has been between 5.9 and 6.5 for over a year now. But I still have PCOS and asthma, Sleep apnea, joint pain and the list goes on.

I've only just started to even THINK about getting pregnant. I know it's selfish, but I really don't want my body to change again! It totally freaks me out! I also have an 8year old foster child with special needs and I couldn't imagine having a baby in addition to him! I guess we're just going to give it time. I'm 29...so I have a little time!

Thank you so much for your input and I'm about to email you nutritionist and explain to ther that I have PCOS and see if she may want to help me with a different type of diet plan
