Topic: RE: Anyone from here successful with ttc treaments?
I had started REALLY TTC last year in March. I was put on Provera, Metformin and Clomid. After 6 rounds no pregnancy. But I was still getting my period so just kept trying to do the OPK thing and BD around the time of the +. (after the 6 rounds of clomid I stopped taking it)

Now I am currently trying the herbal way. I'm taking Vitex, Maca, and Royal Jelly. I've read it can take up to 3 months to regulate your system. I sure hope so because I am on CD48 as of today with no O in sight. And last cycle I got up to CD46 before I ovulated. It's so freakin stressful.

ANYWAY- I wanted to let you know of a support site called Soulcysters.com
There are thousands and thousands of women/girls on there. And there are alot of successful outcomes with Ovidrel, Femara, Clomid, etc. So there is hope. I'm not sure if I am as hopeful as I once was. But I should be because there are so many women with PCOS that are getting preggo!  Good luck!

Topic: Ultrasound today :)
Hey everyone! Well, I attended my first OB appointment on July 28th and to my dismay they only did bloodwork and tried to hear a heart beat with the doppler, but I wasn't far enough along. So, at 10:40 this morning I'm scheduled for my Vaginal ultrasound and my annual exam. I'm none to thrilled about the exam part and unfortunately I've come down with a mild yeast infections o I'm afraid of this discomfort, but I am all in all very excited. I'm nervous, anxious and just plain stressed all in one day!! My mother in law is in town from Texas and she will be going with me. :) Hopefully, I will have some kind of answers when I leave. I have felt like every since I got a positive pregnancy test I've been in the dark. I asked a million and one questions at the first appointment, but the dr assured me that no ovarian cyst was going to give the positive result they got on my urine test. She told me only a hundred time- "hun, you're pregnant!" I'm still yet to believe it and can't wait for more information today. An estimated due date would be nice!

Well, to all of you out there who are ttc...much baby dust your way! God works in ways we can't understand and I may have gotten a once in a lifetime shot myself, so never give up hope or loose the faith!!

Hugs
Kerri

right now I am undergoing treatments with Femara, Follistim and Ovidrel.  I just went through the first round and according to the test yesterday it was negative... so I have to wait again until I get a period to do round 2 again.  My dr only does treatment 4 times... it is my only hope to become a mom.

I am also taking Fortamet (Metformin) to help assist me even more with ovulation 2000mg a day.

I have been praying so much for a baby.. it's my biggest dream..  I know i have to keep my faith.
No matter what Dr says, God is the ultimate doctor.

Anybody with PCOS gotten pregnant with treatments???

Thank you.

Took 3 tests, all negative.  Too early for that yet.  We use condoms and avoid sex around the time I would ovulate.

So, I started my period 2 days before surgery and have had it every 28 days since until this month.  I didn't get the sore boobs and the PMS and the period just never showed up this month.  Is that normal for PCOS after surgery? I am down 80 lbs and I thought the weight loss was helping to get this under control.  Just curious if this has happened to anyone else.  Thanks.

Topic: RE: Laser Hair removal for PCOS?
According to a chart I found at http://www.bariatric-surgery-source.com/obesity-health-problems.html 78% of the hursuitism is resolved with wls.

Of course that means that over 20% isn't and I may be in that group, but won't know til after surgery.

I've never used laser removal, I've always plucked mine.

Topic: RE: a little frustrated, and confused - suggestions?
I was not required to do a supervised diet because I have comorbidity.  I am not sure how many you have to have, but I have 4 big ones and a few minor ones.  I was prepared to have to do the 6 month diet, as that is what I have heard everyone doing.  I'm not sure what your health situation is, but if you have several comorbids, that might be a reason to appeal.
